Corporate Vice President, Global Marketing and Corporate Development

Anil D’Souza serves as corporate vice president of Global Marketing and Corporate Development for Hospira. In this capacity, he is responsible for long-term growth, global business strategy, upstream marketing activities and pipeline optimization for Hospira's entire portfolio, including Specialty Injectable Pharmaceuticals (SIP) and Medication Management Systems (MMS), and is a member of Hospira’s senior leadership team.

Prior to this role, D’Souza served as vice president of Strategy & Sales Operations, Hospira, where he led several sales functions, and was responsible for designing and executing a Go-to-Market transformation driving sales force and marketing excellence in the U.S. region.

D’Souza joined Hospira in September 2008. Previously, he served as an associate principal with McKinsey & Co., where he led large-scale projects in growth strategy, operations, post-merger management and performance transformation for several Global 500 companies. While his most recent industry expertise has been in the pharmaceutical and medical device sector, D’Souza has also served companies in telecommunications, financial services, aviation security, industrial goods and retail at earlier stages in his consulting career. Prior to consulting, D’Souza worked as a sales leader for IBM. He began his career serving as an officer in the United States Marine Corps.

D’Souza earned a bachelor’s degree in history and a master’s degree in international relations from the University of Chicago. He also earned a master’s degree in business administration from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College
