Biography PhotoDaphne E. Jones
Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer

Daphne E. Jones serves as senior vice president and chief information officer for Hospira, Inc. In this leadership role, Jones establishes and executes global information technology (IT) strategies for Hospira, driving the transition to a global SAP environment across the company and consolidating disparate technology platforms onto common infrastructure. Reporting to Chairman and CEO Christopher B. Begley, Jones is a member of Hospira's eight-person senior leadership team.

Prior to joining Hospira in November 2009, Jones served as the worldwide vice president of information technology and chief information officer for Johnson & Johnson's Ortho-Clinical Diagnostics, Inc. In this capacity, she steered implementation of regional SAP solutions in Japan, Europe, Middle East, Africa and the United States. She also developed and executed global IT strategies across multiple business units, and drove Johnson & Johnson's recent sector-wide IT transformation.

Before that, Jones served in other IT roles at Johnson & Johnson, leading organizations in designing and developing IT solutions that helped increase revenue, improve profitability and reduce costs. Prior to Johnson & Johnson, Jones was director of IT at Public Service Electric & Gas in Newark, N.J. She began her career at IBM, where she held a variety of systems engineering leadership positions.

Jones earned both her bachelor's degree in Marketing and her master's of business management from Illinois State University.
